Plantar fasciitis Day 3

I felt the ugly PF sensation on my Sunday PM run after the race, but stupidly did my 2 miles instead of turning around after the first step and bagging Monday.

I went out on Monday and felt it, but not as intensely -- I think because of heavier shoes -- and it didn't bother me after a mile, so I did my 8.

Today I felt it again and regretted running the last two times, but now what to do? I've only got about 6 weeks left to set some spring PRs and taking a week off will kill that and probably won't help much anyway, so I guess I'll just muddle through. I rolled my calf and stretched after the run and it felt much better. It's also can't be too bad as I don't get that first-step pain in the morning. Here's hoping it will just go away.

Taking a week off won't do much. Powering through is almost certain to doom your next 6 weeks. Recover while it is still a nag rather than a roar.

I am also running and I am dealing with plantar fasciitis for more than a year now. There are many things you can do to treat your PF although I understood that treatment efficiency is very individual. If something works for one it may not work for the other. One week of will not make much difference.
Did you try Taping? I have found it very useful. Taping will keep your foot from getting injured again and will help you get through your daily routine. There are a few Taping techniques you can find in YouTube - just type "Plantar Fasciitis Taping" in YouTube search.
I also found a very informative website in: http://www.plantar-fasciitis-elrofeet.com
Take care & Good luck
